Customized development vs. template solutions
I'm launching my first project - an app for ordering healthy food. I decided to try the template first - I bought a ready-made solution, edited it a bit, and everything seemed to be going well... until the problems started. Turns out it's hard to change the structure, and every other bug is something in the template. The developer says it's easier to make from scratch than to fix. Now I'm thinking: should I have ordered custom development right away? Or is it just I chose an unsuccessful template?

Re: Customized development vs. template solutions
Hi! I'm from Latvia, and was in exactly the same situation. We tried to save money on launching a bike rental app - we took a template, changed colors and added a couple of features. But the further we went, the more limitations. Everything looked the same as a bunch of others. Eventually we switched to custom. We worked with a team through a development company - they just explained the advantages of custom development. Yes, it's more expensive at the start, but then it's flexible, without constant crutches. If the project is serious and you have ambitions, custom development is the way to go.

Re: Customized development vs. template solutions
Curious topic, especially for those who are just planning a launch. As a user, I don't think at all if it's a template or not, but sometimes it feels like a “copycat” application. I wonder how many such really unique solutions are on the market and how much better they work.
